System Requirements for Mobipocket Reader for Windows® PCs/Tablet PCs/Laptops
- Processor:
- Intel® Pentium® class processor
- Operating Systems:
- Windows 2000, Windows XP (Home, Professional, or Media Center Edition), Windows Vista® (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, or Ultimate Edition).
- Memory requirements:
- 16 MB RAM, with approximately 19 MB of available hard-disk space (Mobipocket Reader is approximately 3 MB but additional space is required for installation)

Download and Installation Instructions for Mobipocket Reader for Windows PCs/Tablet PCs/Laptops
- Click here to go to the Mobipocket Reader download page.
- Click the 'Download' button.
A 'File Download' box is displayed.
- Select option 'Save' or 'Save this program to disk'. Browse to (and make note of) a location to save the file, and click the 'OK' button to save the Mobipocket Reader install file to your computer.
- Locate the file and double-click it to begin installation.
The 'InstallShield Wizard' is displayed.
- Click through the wizard to install Mobipocket Reader on your Windows machine.
- When the installation is complete, go to your desktop and double-click the Mobipocket Reader PC icon to open the reader.
You may delete the install file once you have completed the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions for Mobipocket Reader for PDAs (when installing from Windows PCs/Tablet PCs/Laptops)
- Click here to go to the Mobipocket Reader download page.
- Click the 'Download' button.
A 'File Download' box is displayed.
- Select option 'Save' or 'Save this program to disk'. Browse to (and make note of) a location to save the file, and click the 'OK' button to save the Mobipocket Reader install file to your computer.
- Locate the file and double-click it to begin installation.

- Ensure that your mobile device is connected to your computer.
- Open Mobipocket Reader on your computer and select 'Reading Devices'.
The 'Reading Devices' screen is displayed.
- Click the 'Install new device' button and select the type of device on which you want to install Mobipocket.
The 'Mobipocket Reader' dialog box is displayed.
- Select your Palm device or connect your handheld device as directed.
Mobipocket Reader files are downloaded and prepared for installation on your device. When the files are ready for transfer the 'Perform Sync' dialog box is displayed.
- Sync your device using the method that you typically use to transfer files from your computer to your device.
When installation is complete, the 'My Reading Devices' screen is displayed in the desktop version of Mobipocket Reader. Your device is listed as a reading device.
